sample&hold #1
With works by resident artists in the SEM Residency Programme
In the series sample&hold, two scholarship holders present their works, which were created within the framework of the residency programme of the Studio for Electroacoustic Music (SEM). Adam Krasz (Budapest) presents his new multi-channel electroacoustic work order, Janine Eisenächer (Berlin) explores the acoustic properties of everyday objects and processes in a live electronic performance. The program is complemented by a work by Ujif_notfound from the Studio for Electroacoustic Music in Kyiv and a spatialised version for the first time of Bevor Ariadne kommt (Rondo), one of the most important electroacoustic works by Georg Katzer, founder of the Studio for Electroacoustic Music at the Akademie der Künste, Berlin.
The sample&hold series is a cooperation of the Akademie der Künste, Berlin’s Studio for Electroacoustic Music, the Elektronisches Studio at the Technische Universität Berlin (TU), the Studio für Elektroakustische Musik at the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler Berlin (STEAM at the HfM-Berlin), the UNI.K | Studio für Klangkunst und Klangforschung and the Master’s Programme in Sound Studies at the Berlin University of the Arts (UdK).
