Present People – Public space only emerges with its use
The project PRESENT PEOPLE has been dedicated to public space in Berlin’s Hansaviertel since 2015. On the occasion of the 60th anniversary of Interbau, the series of initiatives called JUBILÄUMSSPIELE is taking place at the behest of the Akademie der Künste. In cooperation with the Bürgerverein Hansaviertel and the Bibliothek am Hansaplatz, and together with residents, the Hansaplatz is to become a focus of discussion and a meeting point. The video installation provides an overview of the previous initiatives.
The publication PRESENT PEOPLE - öffentlicher Raum entsteht erst im Gebrauch, Felix Lüdicke and Theresa Schütz (eds.), Verlag Akademie der Künste, Berlin 2017, ISBN 978-88331-222-4, also appeared this year.
