Keynote lecture and awarding of the Joseph-Lenné-Medaille (medal) – through the Lenné-Akademie für Gartenbau und Gartenkultur e.V. – to Günter Nagel, landscape architect and former director of the Architecture Section at the Akademie der Künste. Nagel's lecture is titled Peter Joseph Lenné – Die stadträumliche Dimension der Landschaftsarchitektur. The Lenné-Akademie promotes the scientific, artistic and practical training of the various divisions of the gardening professions. For many years Günter Nagel helped to shape the Peter-Joseph-Lenné-Preis, an award of the city of Berlin, including efforts he made as a member of the expert advisory board supporting this important and much coveted prize.
