Ellen Auerbach Scholarship for International Photography
Annette Frick is the Ellen Auerbach Fellow for International Photography 2018. Considered a chronicler of the Berlin underground and gentrification's affects on the cityscape, Frick convinced the jury through "the uncompromising way in which her photos focus on nonconformities, as well as the undefinable and unfinished qualities of people and the city – while giving them a radical artistic form."
Stephanie Kiwitt's publication Máj/My – made possible by her Ellen Auerbach Fellowship in 2016 – is presented after the award ceremony.
Around 9 pm, the film portrait Ellen Auerbach, Fotografin, geboren 1906 (57 min., New York, 1992) by Antonia Lerch is shown. Introduction: Antonia Lerch.
