12. Berliner Hörspielfestival
The Berliner Hörspielfestival means: four days of narrative, documentary, sound art and bordercrossing – independently produced and undogmatic in their style. From around 50 nominated audio plays, the audience and a jury of experts will award the most original contributions the coveted “Burning Microphones”. Productions ranging from 60 seconds to 60 minutes can be heard in six competitions, including one for non-German language pieces. For the first time, a prize for newcomers will also be awarded. Associative visuals will accompany the performances. Afterwards, there will be talks with the makers. On each day there will also be a live audio play: The Phantoms of the Door Tormentor from ‘Geräuschemacherei’ by Frank Schültge and Christian Berner, the audio play composition Lake Vostok by the Liquid Penguin Ensemble, the lecture-performance Freiheit II by Armin Chodzinski and praise of the o-tone Im Anfing fang der Deutschlandfung by Carsten Schneider. The installation Der Absprung by Paul Plamper, the audio walk AliceD: Through the Looking Glass by Bruno Pilz and workshop talks with Ulrich Gerhardt, Charlotte Drews-Bernstein, Hermann Bohlen and Felix Kubin complete the programme.
