War in Europe. Artists in Ukraine are in imminent danger and fearing for their lives. Artists in Russia are excluded from international cooperation in protest measures meant to target the government. How are artists from Ukraine, Russia and other European countries reacting to this experience, and how do they explain the events?
Akademie President and filmmaker Jeanine Meerapfel will discuss this with Svetlana Lavochkina (writer), Sergei Loznitsa (filmmaker), Sasha Marianna Salzmann (playwright and essayist) and Volker Weichsel (political scientist and editor of the journal Osteuropa). The discussion will be moderated by Claudia Dathe (literary translator).
